Joshua Prager, M.D. is interviewed by CBS News to discuss treatment of three of his patients with complex regional pain syndrome, CRPS. This disease was previously called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, RSD. All three of the patients are considerably better, but not considered cured. Treatments they have received include comprehensive inter disciplinary rehabilitation for pain, spinal cord stimulation, ketamine infusions, and sympathetic nerve blocks. Ketamine infusion treat the patients' pain and can also be used to treat their depression. Dr. Prager credits Dr. Robert Schwartzman with encouraging him to begin using keatmine infusions more than eight years ago.
